Renaissance Academy of Learning creates a positive work environment through policies and practices focused on retention and employee well-being. CEO  Linda Shirley, leads her company with a supportive culture that views each employee as a person and not just as a member of her staff. With compassion at the forefront, she understands that each employee has their own unique situations which require creative solutions.  An open door communication policy allows administrative staff and teachers to work collaboratively in a harmonious environment that is busy but still energetic. Our school supports a variety of volunteer and community initiatives and firmly believes that children learn through actions what it means to be a responsible and empathetic adult. Staff Testimonials

Ali Burns, School of Music Manager

“Renaissance Academy of Learning puts a lot of emphasis on community outreach through various fundraising and support projects, which I think naturally carries over into the personal values of our staff by nature of being surrounded by it. Being able to see the way that various projects like Reach to Teach and the PJ Project have supported students and individuals puts the importance of giving back into perspective. Our CEO Linda, serves as a regular reminder of this in her willingness to make calls to action to help out wherever we can as a business and as individuals. It definitely helps morale knowing that we have goals as a company that lie beyond just the numbers of business.”

Staff Testimonials

Terra Li, Renaissance Kids Manager

“Our CEO Linda Shirley sets a fine example of showing compassion and empathy for others and heads many large projects to help others around the world like helping people in Sri Lanka build houses, raise awareness about domestic violence through fundraisers and supporting families who have addictions. When owners and operators and managers take the lead in supporting their community it motivates staff and others around them to do the same and this contributes to making the workplace a better place to be!”

Staff Testimonials

Tatjana Jasmakovska, Art Teacher

One of the many things I find rewarding and comforting working here for 5 years is the company culture and the respect we have for each other. I’ve always felt as an integral part of this amazing team of women.

All the teammates, middle management and the upper management work together almost like one organism, like one body. We are down to earth, hard working and kind.

Staff Testimonials

Veronica Chan, Marketing & Communications Manager

“Linda, our fearless leader, has been extremely supportive of ideas and initiatives that I have brought to her, especially when it comes to community outreach. To say she is a busy woman is an understatement, but she always makes it a priority to support a good cause.

Because of this, Linda has single handedly changed my view on finding truly meaningful work at a for-profit organization. Since giving back to the community is very much part of Linda’s DNA, I can say that half of my projects as the Marketing Manager is dedicated to community outreach initiatives. Such a high percentage of charity work is uncommon for a for-profit organization, but it also speaks volumes on how much Linda cares.

Day after day I am inspired by Linda’s selflessness and this has impacted my life significantly because I’ve been restored with a new sense of purpose and can say that I am truly fulfilled by the meaningful work we do everyday.”

Staff Testimonials
